About Us
- heart disease affects kids, not just adults
- every year, 1 in 100 children will be diagnosed with heart disease
- besides asthma, heart disease affects more children than any other childhood disease including cancer and diabetes
- congenital heart disease does not discriminate - it can happen to any family from any socio-economic background
- in most cases the cause of congenital heart disease is unknown
- the Children's Heart Society supports families of children with acquired and congenital heart disease
- the Children's Heart Society is a non-profit, charitable organization supported extensively by volunteers and family members

- we fund research grants and requests
- we purchase essential medical equipment, toys and comforts for afflicted children
- we provide financial support and gifts for children undergoing heart surgery
- we give time and help to pediatric wards during special holidays and events
- we support families by offering: support meetings, parent to parent referral list, quarterly newsletters, bereavement support and a lending library of resources

- strive for the day when no child will die from heart disease
- ensure the best possible care for children suffering from heart disease
- improve the quality of life for children and families living with heart disease
